Finn Dixon & Herling LLP Recognized by Chambers & Partners as a Band I Law Firm

For the 21st year in a row, Finn Dixon & Herling LLP (FDH) has received the highest achievable ranking by Chambers & Partners, a leading business guide that delivers detailed rankings and insights into the world’s top lawyers, legal departments and law firms. The 2024 edition of Chambers USA ranks the firm in Band 1 for Corporate/M&A and in Band 1 for Litigation: White Collar Crime & Government Investigations. FDH is the only Connecticut firm to be awarded Band 1, the highest ranking, in both of these categories.

“Finn Dixon & Herling is honored to again be recognized by Chambers as a Tier 1 firm in Corporate/M&A and Litigation: White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations,” said FDH’s Managing Partner, Christopher H. Craig. “We are proud of the strong relationships we have with our clients and our commitment to delivering desired results practically and efficiently.”

Since the inception of the Chambers’ rankings in Connecticut, FDH’s Corporate/M&A practice has continuously been ranked in Band 1.“We are thrilled to once again be ranked in Band 1 by Chambers. This ranking recognizes our entire business law team’s sustained commitment to client service, innovative deal making and thoughtful, commercial advice,” said Charles J. Downey III, co-chair of the firm’s Corporate practice.

A client quote from the 2024 Chambers Guide explains how the FDH Corporate practice sets itself apart from others by stating, “What differentiates them from other firms is that they are very solutions focused and that they are problem solvers first and attorneys second. That means we are very efficient, we get to the answers and they focus on what matters.”

Individual attorneys ranked in this practice include: David I. Albin, Jason R. Boyea, Charles J. Downey III, Michael J. Herling, Christopher M. Mozingo, Richard Kohlberger and Neil Ruben (Up and Coming). Of these attorneys, both Charles J. Downey III and Michael J. Herling have joined David I. Albin in being recognized in Band 1 for individual rankings.

FDH’s Litigation practice has been ranked in Band 1 for the fifth consecutive year in the area of White Collar Crime & Government Investigations. “Our success is due to our team’s experience and dedication to ensuring successful outcomes for our clients,” said Deirdre M. Daly, co-chair of the firm’s Litigation practice. “We are grateful to Chambers for this recognition.”

Chambers describes the FDH litigation group as “an impressive practice with broad capabilities across civil and criminal litigation with notable expertise in white-collar criminal defense and the representation of clients in regulatory enforcement. The group is also adept at handling internal investigations for corporate clients.”
