LIFE AT FDH

FDH's Corporate Group enjoyed a memorable cocktail reception at Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society last night. The event provided our team with a wonderful opportunity to step away from the office, connect with colleagues and take in one of Connecticut's most iconic landmarks.

We couldn't have asked for a better evening for our annual Clambake. With perfect weather on the water, colleagues from across the firm came together to celebrate our successes, strengthen relationships, and enjoy one of FDH's favorite traditions.

FDH volunteers spent the afternoon at Fairgate Farm in Stamford, helping harvest, plant, weed, and prepare produce for local distribution. It was a rewarding opportunity to support Fairgate’s mission of expanding access to fresh, healthy food throughout the community.

Beyond the trivia questions and competition, the evening was a great opportunity to connect with colleagues and enjoy time together outside of work. Moments like these help strengthen the relationships that make our firm such a great place to work.

Our Women’s Initiative Network welcomed clients and friends of the firm for an afternoon featuring golf and pickleball clinics at the Country Club of New Canaan. Whether trying a new sport or sharpening existing skills, participants embraced the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors while enjoying great company. We’re grateful for opportunities that foster meaningful relationships and inspire continued learning both on and off the course.

This week, FDH celebrated AAPI Heritage Month in our office with tea, desserts and cultural appreciation – coming together to honor the rich traditions, stories and contributions of the AAPI community. Thank you to Joanna Plerpa for leading a Chinese tea tasting and sharing the history and rituals behind several teas across China. We always welcome opportunities like these to celebrate and learn about diverse cultures, honoring the unique perspectives and experiences that make each of us who we are while also bringing us closer together.

FDH is excited to introduce our 2026 Summer Associates (L to R): Andrew J. McCotter, Zuyu Shen, Selina Liu, Hailey Hamilton, and Alex Dreyfus! We’re looking forward to having this talented group with us this summer and can’t wait to see the energy, perspectives, and contributions they’ll bring as they participate in all aspects of firm life, including practice group gatherings, firm-wide meetings and annual summer events.

FDH was proud to support and participate in the 2026 Boys & Girls Club of Stamford’s Annual Corporate 5K. As a longtime supporter of the organization and its mission, we’re honored to help champion the important work they do for the Stamford community.

In honor of Administrative Professionals Week 2026, FDH continued its longstanding tradition of hosting an appreciation luncheon, where our attorneys served lunch to thank our administrative professionals for the vital role they play in supporting both our team and our clients.

Our attorneys and their family members gathered at The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa in Manchester, Vermont, for our annual firm retreat. Despite a frigid weekend that kept everyone bundled up, the time away offered a chance to slow down, enjoy the winter setting, and spend meaningful time together outside of the office.

We continued a cherished Finn Dixon & Herling tradition: gathering to ring in the new year. It was a wonderful evening of reflecting on our shared successes, celebrating joyful moments, and fostering the camaraderie that makes our firm so special.

We partnered with the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, a nonprofit that helps supply nearly 70 agencies across our local towns. From soup kitchens and pantries to senior centers, shelters, and child-care programs, the reach of their work is remarkable. Our team was glad to spend the day helping support an organization that supports so many others.

Our Women’s Initiative Network hosted a memorable evening at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich – a gathering designed to inspire reflection, connection, and meaningful conversation among women from diverse industries.

Our staff had the chance to step out of the office and into the kitchen for a hands-on cooking class at Hudson Table. From rolling fresh pasta to assembling tiramisu, the evening was hands-on, engaging, and filled with great conversation and food.

The annual Golf Classic, a longstanding firm tradition, brought together colleagues for an enjoyable afternoon on the greens, filled with camaraderie and friendly competition.

FDH gathered for our cherished firm tradition: the annual clambake! Despite the drizzle, fog and a cool breeze, all who attended reinforced our solid culture built on celebrating our accomplishments and deep friendships.

This year we welcome 2025 Summer Associates Henry Meyer (Northeastern University School of Law), Lily Lee (Boston College Law School), Hope Weisman (University of California, Irvine School of Law), and Gillian Haverty (University of Connecticut School of Law).

The Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee and Summer Associate Committee co-hosted our third AANHPI Heritage Month celebration, which also served as a welcome reception for our summer associates. This year’s event featured a curated tasting of Asian spirits and a wide selection of regional snacks and street food, offering attendees a chance to connect while celebrating culture and community.
