Tanyee (Tan) represents borrowers and lenders in leveraged finance transactions, frequently facilitating middle-market to large-cap acquisitions for private equity sponsors.
Tan represents borrowers, agents, senior lenders, and junior lenders in all levels of commercial financings. Tan’s thirty plus years of in-house and firm experience provides her with a deep understanding of nuanced business considerations. Always keeping clients' goals top of mind, Tan is a trusted partner to her clients and finds practical solutions to their real-world challenges.
In addition to her day job, Tan is a champion of wellbeing. She is chair of both FDH's Wellbeing Committee and the Wellbeing Committee for the Connecticut Bar Association. She is also the Connecticut representative for the State Task Force for the Institute of Well-Being in Law and a member of the Mindfulness in Law Society. Tan routinely participates and presents on wellbeing and mindfulness topics for the Connecticut Bar Association, law firms, and to local high school students. She recently presented on the topics "Avoiding Burnout" for Connecticut Legal Services and "Mindset" for the Bankruptcy Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
Tan is the first woman and first minority to have been elected to serve on Finn Dixon’s Management Committee and the first woman and minority to be appointed as a chair of the firm's Debt Finance practice. Additionally, Tan is an active participant in the firm’s WIN Committee and Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She is also Co-President and a board member of the Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
In 2023, Tan received the Ladder Award at Pathways to Leadership for Women Lawyers.
