Finn Dixon & Herling welcomed three summer associates and one summer college intern this week. Each student was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants from top law schools and colleges.
Through the summer programs, these students will work on Firm matters with associates, partners, and staff and participate in a variety of social events.
The summer associate program provides summer associates the opportunity to work on substantive legal matters with seasoned lawyers at the Firm. Under the guidance of our experienced attorneys, summer associates work on a wide range of corporate, debt finance, investment management, tax, executive compensation and litigation matters. The relatively small size of the summer associate program enables the summer associates to receive meaningful work assignments and direct feedback as they develop their legal skills.
“We design the summer associate program to introduce the summer associates to the culture and practice of the Firm,” said Christopher H. Craig, administrative partner of the Firm. “We strive to practice at the highest level and are thrilled that these talented students will work alongside us this summer.”
The Firm also partners with the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity (LCD) in connection with its college internship program. LCD is a Connecticut organization dedicated to fostering diversity in the legal profession. Both LCD and the Firm will expose the college intern to different aspects of the field of law. The intern will participate in both legal and non-legal work at the Firm and in a variety of professional workshops with LCD.

The Firm looks forward to hosting both virtual and socially distanced, in-person events with all members of the Firm, including a trivia night, a wine-tasting, a comedy night and a golf tournament.
Christopher M. Mozingo, a partner in the corporate group and chair of the Firm’s hiring committee, chairs the summer associate program. His legal practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and venture capital and growth equity investments.
Tamu Lewis, a partner in the Debt Finance group, coordinates the Firm’s partnership with the LCD summer college intern program. Her legal practice centers on debt finance, typically representing financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and borrowers.
