James is an associate in the Corporate Group. His practice includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and general corporate representation.
James first joined the firm as a member of the firm’s 2024 summer associate class. He earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he served as managing editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. James also served as a student representative for the UConn School of Law Tax Clinic, where he represented members of the community in disputes with the IRS.
Prior to law school, James advised clients for nearly a decade on qualified retirement plan design, ERISA requirements and fiduciary obligations. He holds a B.S.B.A in Accounting from Bryant University and is a licensed CPA.
Outside the office, James enjoys reading, golfing, pickleball, and spending time with his family.
