Chris represents borrowers and lenders in leveraged finance transactions, frequently facilitating middle-market to large-cap acquisitions for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.

In addition to private equity clients and their portfolio companies, Chris represents lenders, including finance companies, SBIC funds and hedge funds, in leveraged finance transactions involving secured and unsecured credit facilities, including cash-flow and asset-based financings. He has significant experience in acquisition financings, first and second lien facilities, unitranche facilities, mezzanine financings, restructurings, and non performing loan portfolio acquisitions. He also regularly helps clients navigate intercreditor arrangements and has experience in international financings, drawing in part on lessons from a two-year engagement in the Tokyo office of Paul Hastings.

Chris currently serves as FDH’s managing partner and chair of the firm’s management committee and is a former chair of FDH’s Debt Finance group.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Canaan Library, and in his spare time, Chris loves skiing with his family in New Mexico.
