Kelsey represents clients in complex civil litigation and investigations initiated by government regulators and criminal authorities.

Kelsey counsels clients on inquiries and investigations initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and other government regulators.  She also provides litigation and regulatory advice to a wide range of corporate clients, including hedge funds and cryptocurrency companies.

Kelsey is actively involved in pro bono work.  She has represented clients in federal court in connection with federal civil rights cases, including a trial involving allegations of police misconduct and ongoing prisoner’s rights litigation against the Connecticut Department of Correction.

Before joining the firm, she practiced in the litigation group at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York, where she focused on securities litigation and internal investigations of large financial institutions.  Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling and hiking with her dog, Teddy.

Representative Matters
  • Represented a large financial institution in a series of internal investigations involving several financial regulators.
  • For Yale University, conducted a public independent investigation of allegations that a former medical school professor engaged in sexual misconduct.
  • Represented multiple corporate entities in SEC investigations which successfully resulted in terminations without enforcement actions.
