Emma Shuck is an associate in the firm's Litigation practice, where she focuses on complex commercial litigation, internal investigations, and white-collar defense. She represents clients in high-stakes disputes and investigations, assisting in all phases of litigation, including developing strategy, legal research, discovery, and written advocacy.
Prior to joining FDH, Emma was a litigation associate in Vinson & Elkins’ New York office, where she focused on commercial litigation, government investigations, and international dispute resolution. In that role, she conducted research, managed discovery productions, and contributed to the drafting of motions, pleadings, and briefs, including a U.S. Supreme Court amicus brief on behalf of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Emma's experience includes representing clients in internal and government-facing investigations, commercial disputes, and arbitration proceedings.
Before entering private practice, Emma served as a law clerk to the Honorable Chari Kelly of the Texas Third Court of Appeals, where she worked on civil and criminal appeals, researching complex legal issues, drafting opinions, and assisting in preparation for oral arguments.
